Biography
Therése Neaimé - Born in Stockholm, Sweden, daughter of a Lebanese father and a Swedish mother, Therése began to dance at the age of 6. Always on stage, doing dance theatre and winning dance contests, it was only a matter of time before singing would complete her stage persona.
Therése began her singing career at the age of 15 with the Stockholm East Gospel Choir. Soon after that she began taking singing lessons from world-renowned vocal teacher, Susanna Hultén.
In the mid 90`s, she toured the world as a background singer and dancer with various international artists. She had appearances in several music videos on MTV and could be seen as a regular dancer on the ever-popular U.S. television show Soul Train.
In 2004, Therése was signed as one of five songwriters in top international producer Jorgen Elofsson`s (Britney Spears, Westlife, Kelly Clarkson) team. Soon after, Therése`s first song "How Could You Leave Me" was featured on the soundtrack of the Swedish movie "Language Of Love".
After her decision to act as an independent artist her initial success in Sweden triggered various performances and live concerts as well as appearances on Swedish radio and TV. Therése`s first single "Color Of Love" became one of the most played songs on Radio in Sweden, followed by the singles "The Future" and "Keep It Up", which created an even bigger breakthrough. In May 2005, Neaimé`s fourth single "Not Easy" went straight to No 1 on the Swedish charts.
In 2007, interest in Therése and her music in the Middle East grew even further after successful promotion tours to Lebanon and Dubai. Following radio interviews and TV appearances, Neaimé`s music, especially her first and second singles "Color of Love" and "Here to Stay" were given great recognition and were soon playing at radio stations all over Lebanon, Jordan and the UAE.
In May 2008, Therése went on a 5-day concert tour to Afghanistan, performing for international and US troops in Kabul and other cities. Considering the adventurous trip "one of her best concert tours ever", her performances were highly appreciated. Therése returned to arenas in Europe in summer 2008, with opening concerts for the legendary British band SIMPLY RED in Cyprus and Spain, performing in front of 15,000 people.
In June 2009, Therése also had a guest star appearance in Los Angeles in the TV Music Special "Baila - A Celebration of Music and Dance" with world renowned trumpeter and composer/songwriter David Longoria. The show aired on PBS stations all across the US in August 2009.
In summer 2010, Therése spent six weeks in Halkidiki/Greece performing her own exclusive show. Currently she is in Dubai, performing at various events and award shows as wells as promoting the release of her newest song "All I Think About Is You". First response by radio and critics to the single has been overwhelming since its release in Europe in June 2010. The worldwide release of her second album will follow soon.
Therése is an Ambassador for the Swedish organization "Barncancerföreningen" (Foundation for Children with Cancer). She has been continuously supporting the cause with benefit performances and charity work.
