Elodie Frégé
Chanson, Rock
Elodie Frégé (b. February 15, 1982 in Cosne-Sur-Loir) was the winner of popular French tv show Star Academy's third season in 2003. Following her victory, she released her debut self-titled album the same year, preceeded by the single De l'eau. The album received mixed reviews from critics but became a top 5 hit in her native France.
Dissatisfied with the poor artisitic merits of her debut, Elodie then decided to take a less commercial, more mature route, and released her second album, Le Jeu Des 7 Erreurs, in September 2006. Considered a dramatic departure from the bubblegum pop of her first record, it was written mostly in partnership with Benjamin Biolay, who also produced the album and with whom Elodie also shares lead vocals on the title song. Both album and first single (La ceinture) received positive reviews from the French media.
Her third album, La Fille De L'Àpres-Midi was released in October 2010 to much critical acclaim.
