Winterfylleth are a black metal band from Manchester, UK celebrating themes of England's history, heritage, poetry and folklore. 'Winterfylleþ' (which translates into Winter Full Moon from the Old English language) represents the first full moon in October as well as the Anglo-Saxon festival of the arrival of winter. Since their inception in 2007, the band has released four studio albums and have become a popular act in both the English underground metal scene and the wider international metal arena.

In 2007 they released "Rising of the Winter Full Moon", a 3 track demo limited to 50 copies. In autumn 2008 they released their debut full length "The Ghost of Heritage" on Profound Lore Records. In October 2009 they signed to Candlelight Records and in 2010 they released their second full-length album, "The Mercian Sphere". On April 23, 2012 they reissued their debut album on Candlelight Records. That same year they released their third full-length album "The Threnody of Triumph" on Candlelight Records in September 10, 2012.

On January 17, 2014 they released a split EP with Drudkh on Season of Mist. They released their fourth full-length album 'The Divination of Antiquity on October 7, 2014 through Candlelight Records.
