Eivind Lorentzen and Hannah Jønland released an album in 1999 under the name Synsbedragerne.

:... Autumn 1999 marks the debut of Synsbedragerne on Bajkal! A feeble translation would be the Illusionists, but then you learned to pronounce Bjørk, didn't you? The music ranges from powerpop to fragile sketches by way of gastronomical jazz and dub. Synsbedragerne scavenge their lyrics where they can find them, giving contemporary poetry serious, but by no means solemn treatment, not to forget their own scribblings, cookbooks and TV-soaps. Pastorius and Melrose Place, Crimson and Cutlery for the novice. Juxtaposition of the opposites in a surprisingly coherent whole.

Synsbedragerne is a loose, but paradoxically tight sounding collective. Key figures are Eivind Lorentzen, Hannah Jønland and Bengt Olsson. But what would they have done without Pia Maria Roll's dadaistic ideas, Hamlet's percussion (yes, that's his real name), Dag Erik Møller's digital and prehistoric wailing and all the other contributions?
