A Macbeth is to be born in each century, each country, each city and even each district. The eager for power is a contagion, but also the motivating power for the human race. The piece remains always actual. This work does not tell a story from Shakespeare's age, but involves modern dance and show elements of the world's film culture with stunts, kungfu fighters and dancers. It is a brave experiment. The chamber ballet company transforms Shakespeare's tragedy in a dance art piece employing the greatest performers of the Hungarian ballet life. The adaptation of classic and popular dramas has seemed to be a great challenge for choreographers for a long time. The creators of this new adaptation to be shown during the Festival try to present the drama not only by use of dance actions. The sung monologues of Péter Novák, the narrator of play, connect the scenes of this modern performance played in our world. The dance adaptation of this drama is deeply actualized involving unusual elements, such as motion pictures and some adapted hits of near and far past.
