Monte Carlo
Rock
There are multiple artists named Monte Carlo.
1) Originally from Richmond, California, United States, Monte Carlo (aka DJ Monte Carlo) gained his experience as producer in the late 80’s creating Bay Area styled rap music with longtime friends DJ Stepside (who ultimately gave him the Monte Carlo moniker), and MC G-Sas and later with MC L.A.E. and MC Pigfeet as Scraps & Skimpaz. After an almost decade long absence from the Bay Area hip-hop scene, he teamed up with the Oakland, CA based MC named Kene-J (later known as Tha Archivez) to form and produce the sci-fi influenced Hip-Hop group Tha Glitch in early 2006. They released two recordings, 2008’s EP “Computer Error” and 2009’s “...A Galaxy Near You", before Tha Archivez departed the group in late 2009. Without skipping a beat, he re-connected with two old friends one in fellow DJ/Producer Shinobi 009 to form the D&B/Electronica group known as Interleaver, and two in longtime friend and poet B. Phlecksi Parmella (aka BWLP) to form the Experimental Hip-Hop group Emetic Landscape in 2010. DJ Monte Carlo also releases music under the aliases Bit.Krusher and Diavola.
2) The four piece pop-rock band from the Uk, made of Calum Wood, Ben Mckelvey, James Wright and Bruce Miller, originaly produced their music under the name 'fluid lines' but have now taken their music to the next level.
3) A band from the US: After meeting at the end of 2003 there was no doubt that this was going to be quite a ride. With only one late night jam, Monte Carlo hit the Nashville club scene, and hasn't slowed down since. With each player sharing some of the same influences, their different backgrounds bring about a sound that you just have to hear.
