ARTEXIM was founded as a public institution of the Romanian Ministry of Culture in March 1990. The new artistic management took over some of the most important elements of the ancient Romanian management agency - ARIA.
It was very difficult in those times to convince the Romanian artists and the world-wide partners that the new Romanian artists management is not the same communist and "security" structure. That's because it was a hard work to create a "new look" in this activity. We made a selection of the persons and activities and in the same time we were subject of selection to our international partners.
