the mayflies were formed in 2002 in stavanger, norway by lead singer, erik. guitar maestro oly rider joined, helping creating the great mayflies sound. the two latest additions are bass player john and drummer chris - all of them make up the fab four, locally known as the mayflies.

Dressed in tweed and with their feet delicately placed in the twangy salad of rock, Mayflies are inspired by good old british psychedelia, spaghettisauce and cheesy horror movies. Very deliberate in their choice of style, they reek of rock’n’roll elegance both on-stage and off-stage. It has been said that they never play the same show twice, and after a trip to china, playing for 20.000 people at the midi music festival they have more than proven their ability to satisfy hungry music lovers anywhere. This fall sees the release of their brand new long-player "Nothing Left To Steal". The album shows both the dark and lighter side of the band and their music.
