Brendan Croker and Kevin Coyne are undoubtedly two of Britain's finest and most respected blues singer / songwriters. Collectively their individual careers have spanned 50 yrs and between them they have released over 50 albums. Fitting then that their 51st album will be their first joint venture. Since their first chance meeting over fifteen years ago their friendship has flourished under a quiet but mutual respect for one another's unique approach to the Blues.

"In my opinion Kevin is the only English Blues singer ever." Brendan say's of his old friend, "There are lots of people who dabble in the Arts but very few artists….he is one of the few."

Praise indeed from a man who counts such people as Mark Knopfler, Eric Clapton and the late Chet Atkins as his fans. Both men are highly accomplished in their own rights but always on their own terms. Brendan Croker is probably best known for his work with his bands The Notting Hillbillies and The Five O'clock Shadows as well as his collaborations with artists such as Mark Knopfler, Tanita Tikkaram, Michelle Shocked and Eric Clapton. Brendan is also a well-respected songwriter and once wrote a song for Wyonna Judd that sold over 4 million copies. Kevin Coyne, on the other hand, was one of the first artists to be signed to Richard Branson's record label Virgin second only to Mike Oldfield and bizarrely in 1971, the day after Jim Morrison's death, Kevin was asked to replace him in The Doors but he turned the gig down. He didn't rate the band! In addition to his musical achievements Kevin Coyne is also an accomplished artist and has had numerous exhibitions of his art displayed throughout Europe. Although poles apart stylistically and lyrically their attitude to the Blues and life in general is very similar. Both are free speaking, innovative artists who have consciously resisted the lure of mainstream success in favour of forging their own unique creative paths.
