The 'Just like a Day' EP was the debut release from Brothers in Sound who joined earlier this year to make music they could only hear by playing It themselves. "Pop music, rock music, whatever you care to call it is not always about using guitars, not always about verse/chorus/verse and most definately not always about replaying the past from every conceivable angle. The Beatles, Bowie, The Sex Pistols, The Stones were real in their day but a bunch of blokes replicating them now are nothing more than tradesman, singing and feeling stuff that is not theirs. Bands like these are the aural equivalent of portrait photographers."

Brothers In Sound believe that pop music should reflect the troubles and grief of modern life but more so the moments when you feel most alive, that look of recognition , that glint in the eye that makes it all worthwhile, the rush and going on about and when music makes this connection. There are places no one has been to yet, this is just the beginning.
