HorsePower was formed in May 2017 in Budapest, with its main inspirations being the partying Rock n Roll music of the 80s (Guns ’n Roses, Mötley Crüe, Motörhead, etc.) and the Hungarian rock music generation that emerged in the early 90s (Sex Action, Tankcsapda, Sing Sing, Junkies). Its lyrics also revolve around the theme of sex-drug-rock & roll. At first, the fluctuation within the band was quite high, but the membership stabilized during the pandemic.

In 2022, a four-song EP, Nem Fogsz Ugatni! titled, which was very popular in Budapest and its surroundings, thanks to which they gave several sold-out concerts on New Year's Eve, together with Akela. In the spring of 2024, their first video clip was released, titled Ördög Klubja, and in the fall of 2024, they released another single, titled Szép Szőke Lány.
