THE PUBLICITY CONNECTION has been on the map for around seven years. Our 'tour manager' and founder is Sharon Chevin. Sharon is the Publicity Connection. She's full of energy, enthusiasm and great ideas and what she doesn't know about the entertainment business isn't worth knowing. She's supported by a bright, tight, on-the-ball team. Small enough to keep things hands-on and personal but large enough to look after the world-class, high-rolling acts we represent in a resourceful and professional way.
GOOD CONNECTIONS
Naturally, we didn't get here overnight. Sharon's CV is a rock 'n' roll Who's Who but she's worked hard to learn those special skills. She started out as an in-house press officer and worked with the Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Luther Vandross, Eurythmics, The Pretenders, Paul Young and INXS. The next step was to go 'independent'. SHARON CHEVIN PUBLIC RELATIONS was soon handling the UK press for Whitney Houston, Billy Idol, Mike Oldfield and agency promoter ITB. And international and tour publicity for Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, The Cult, Midnight Oil, and Yes.
Then - BMG International made her an irrestistable offer. As in house Promotions Manager Sharon neatly juggled a varied portfolio comprising Toni Braxton, Crash Test Dummies, Dr Alban, ZZ Top, Martina McBride, Snap and Foreigner.
All this was perfect grooming for The Publicity Connection, where we are now. We pride ourselves on our flexible, versatile approach and offer a wide range of services that include Tour and Event Promotion including radio, TV and press. We believe that the entertainment and leisure sector is poised at an exciting time - and we are geared to meet the international demands of an industry revolutionised by the meteoric advances in technology and New Media.
