The Circling Sun

In their music, Latin rhythms infuse spiritual and modal jazz sounds, with the group acknowledging inspiration from the likes of Mulatu Astatke, Alice Coltrane, Yusef Latif and Pharoah Saunders, playing music that is "an education in, and homage to, the great Afro-American innovators." The Circling Sun's long, long overdue début studio album. [album artist=The Circling Sun came out some 23 years after their foundation, in May 2023.
