Superstruct Entertainment acquires more UK and European festivals
Superstruct Entertainment, the live entertainment group backed by Providence Equity Partners, has continued its buying spree, acquiring Global`s festival portfolio.

Global`s festival holdings include Boardmasters, Y Not, Truck, Standon Calling, Kendal Calling, Victorious, South West Four, Electric Elephant, Lost Village and Rewind—however, not all of Global`s festivals, like Lost Village, were included in the acquisition.

The acquisition makes Superstruct Entertainment the UK`s second-largest festival operator. Global, a music and broadcast group owned by Ashley Tabor, went on a "bulk buy of festivals back in 2016," according to Gig Addict.

Superstruct, the live entertainment group run by, former president of electronic music at Live Nation, James Barton (pictured) and Paul Bedford (former financial director of Impresario Festivals), has acquired stakes in Elrow, Sónar and Flow Festival, among other festivals, over the past two years.

"We have in mind a federation of festival brands. They will work together as much and as often as they want to," Bedford said last July. "There is some strength in numbers in this game."
