US management firm opens office in Amsterdam
LA based management firm Milk & Honey isn’t letting lockdown slow the momentum of its global expansion.

The management company, which largely works with songwriter and DJ/producer clients, turned heads in February with the announcement of its new London office.

Now, the firm has announced a further expansion into Europe, with its new Amsterdam offices.

The head of those offices is Dutch-born Edo Van Duijn (pictured), who brings over management clients like Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, Bruno Martini, Cat Dealers and others to the Milk & Honey management roster.

Van Duijn’s 20-year industry career has seen him play a pivotal role in launching the careers of Latin American artists Dj Marky, Bruno Martini and Alok, while also co-producing Festival properties such as Skolbeats, Nokia Trends, Electric Zoo Sao Paulo and more recently Tomorrowland Brasil.

Lucas Keller, Founder and President of Milk & Honey, said that his company got a taste for a presence in the Netherlands via its management of Amsterdam/Rotterdam based client Oliver Heldens.

Keller stated: “It has been great getting to know Edo, he shares the same strong work ethic and value set that Milk & Honey is built upon – he was immediately the right decision. I’ve been coming to Amsterdam for the past five years and love the music, the culture and the people.

“From our first trip, we had been discussing opening an office to further focus on electronic music and the great songwriters and producers not just in the Netherlands but all throughout Europe. Managing Oliver Heldens was our first real entrance into the market, and both Oliver, his local team and the community have been so welcoming, that we were anxious to do more.”

Added Keller: “Amsterdam is an important next step in Milk & Honey’s priority of becoming a global music company, and our UK / European clients will be integrated with our American presence in a way that no other management company can offer.”

Over the past decade Van Duijn has extensively toured headline acts in Brazil and South America including Armin van Buuren, Hardwell, Afrojack, Steve Angello, Axwell and many more, while working closely with leading consumer brands such as Skol, Fusion Energy, Samsung, Redbull and Nike on artist partnerships and content deals.

In 2017 Van Duijn returned to his native Holland and joined ID&T as COO. In 2019 he launched Headliner Entertainment in partnership with ID&T.

He will continue his role as Head of Headliner, with a focus is on virtual events and touring, in addition to his new role at Milk & Honey.

Commented Van Duijn: “I’m very excited to work with Lucas Keller and his formidable team at Milk & Honey. I’ve been a fan of their work for the last few years, so when the opportunity came to join forces I didn’t hesitate. I look forward to being able to further expand the careers of my current clients within the Milk & Honey framework and excited about growing the Amsterdam office over the months ahead with new signings and building our team of managers.”

Alex Harrow, Milk & Honey’s Co-Head of Electronic in New York said: “I relish at today’s opportunity for Milk & Honey to put its flag in the ground in the Netherlands. So much of the important business in dance music culture takes place in Amsterdam and northern Europe. Growing our presence here is an important step in our overall strategy for representing electronic talent at this company. Arriving faster in this market than we had expected is really exciting, and as our fifth office. We couldn’t be more excited for the addition of world class talent like Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, and more to come.”

Dave Frank, Milk & Honey Co-Head of Electronic, Los Angeles, said.“Having spent a lot of time in Amsterdam over the last decade I’ve always found it to be an extremely motivating place and I’m thrilled to announce the continued expansion of our artist mgmt. department with Edo and his clients. In addition to the great experience I’ve had working closely with Edo over the last 18 months, I’ve been friends with Sunnery & Ryan for over 10 years and couldn’t be happier to see these relationships come full circle. I look forward to continue building on their collective and individual successes and further cementing Milk & Honey’s place as a full service global management company!”

And Nic Warner General Manager of Milk & Honey, commented: “Thoughtful expansion has been the name of the game since Lucas and I started Milk & Honey back in 2014. Over the past 6 years I’ve watched ideas and conversations turn into new offices and executives from the US to the UK and now look forward to expanding into Europe. Couldn’t be more proud of the team and clients and look forward to watching Milk & Honey continue to grow as an international music company in the years to come.”

As well as London and Amsterdam, Milk & Honey runs offices in Los Angeles, New York and Nashville.

The company represents clients who have collectively amassed over 400 million record sales worldwide, including David Hodges, Oak Felder, Sir Nolan, Charlie Handsome, Jamie Hartman and Oliver Heldens.
