Kaizers Orchestra: 'EuroSonic kick started activities outside Scandinavia.It is quite something for a band that sing in local Norwegian dialect to be booked for German festivals such as Rock Am Ring, Rock Im Park, and Haldern, plus the Dutch Lowlands and others, as a result of enthusiastic response from promoters to their performance at Noorderslag. It shows the importance of a strong live presence and being at the right place at the right time', says band manager Eivind Brydoy.

From Holland The Apers scored new Italian and German agents. Through them the band played the Rock Sound Tuborg Festival in Italy and appeared on Italian television. Tours in Italy and Germany for the end of 2003 are planned.

Universal UK and Dutch Promoters and Agents, Mojo, visited the Junior Senior showcase in Groningen, resulting in a Top 3 hit in the UK for the Danish act and a spot at the Pinkpop festival in Holland.

Thanks to the EuroSonic gig Ska P from Spain secured shows at major festivals such as Open Air St. Gallen in Switzerland, Pukkelpop in Belgium and both Parkpop and Lowlands in Holland. Bernard Batzen of Azimuth in France commented,' With the success of Ekova on EuroSonic 2001 and Ska P this year we can't fail on EuroSonic 2004 because, as the saying goes in France, 'jamais deux sans trios!'

Slovo achieved success for the UK, their gig resulted in six excellent summer festivals such as Lowlands, Roskilde in Denmark and Sziget in Hungary Their career now seems to be taking off, says UK Agent Paul Bolton of Helter Skelter, "I would recommend any act to play Noorderslag and hope to have a couple on next years event".
