Started in 1999. TAKSIRAT Festival has gradually cemented its place as one of the largest musical entertainment events in the South-Eastern European country of Macedonia. Past acts have included, among others, Manu Chao, Gentleman, Kreator, Kaiser Chiefs, Jean-Michel Jarre, Skye & Ross, Tuxedomoon, White Lies, Onyx, Amorphis, The Stranglers, Clawfinger, Parov Stelar Band, Fun Lovin’ Criminals, Laika, Moonspell, The Wailers, Goldie, Iggy & The Stooges, Timo Maas, Buzzcocks, Tiga, The Roots, Audio Bullys, Guano Apes, Delinquent Habits, Juliette Lewis … Plus variety of local and regional acts. The Festival usually runs for one week, taking place in different venues throughout the city of Skopje, organizing concerts, workshops, cinema, theatre performances, book promotions, etc. and ends with Main Festival Night celebration. That night features live performances of renowned local, regional and international acts.

Every year, TAKSIRAT festival is trying to have a social and educational dimension through the implementation of most various campaigns in the scope and out of the festival. TAKSIRAT is already renowned for cutting-edge quality musical program and has managed to create its own brand with its own constant audience.
